A Time of Sadness:

Kent and I got Kupe, our little Yorkshire Terrier, a year after we got married. He has always been such a sweet dog that I have been very attached to. Our cute little Madison has the same love for dogs that I do, and Kupe has been her little buddy. She is always "taking care" of him and loving on him.

About 14 months ago, he was diagnosed with diabetes, and I had to give him shots twice a day. He has always been such a trooper about all of his shots. On the way to my parents' house on Thanksgiving Day, Kupe became really sick. It became very clear that he was not doing well. Unfortunately, Kent had to take him to the Emergency Clinic and have him put to sleep. We are all so sad, our house feels so empty.

A Girls Day

Madison and I went to have a little girls time at the salon. I introduced Madison to the life of pedicures, and she quickly became a fan. We had so much fun together, I look forward to many more years of sharing days like this.

Blessing #5

My college roommate and dearest friend Jennifer just had baby #5, Bryan Baldwin Stonecipher. He is absolutely beautiful, born at 5:51 PM on Monday, weighing 8 lbs 6 oz, measuring 20 1/2 inches long. Jennifer is an amazing mother with the most precious children. My kids have been so excited about the birth of Bryan and can't wait to meet him. I got to go see Jen at the hospital and hold Bryan, it was such a treat!

A FUN DAY OF GOLF

Living History Day at Preston's School

One of our favorite days at Preston's school is Living History Day. This year, the focus was a day in the life of the Greeks. The theme was "Carpe Diem." The students, faculty and volunteers all dress up, as well as many parents, siblings and friends. It is a really fun day for everyone!

Happy Birthday Dad!

We had a great time celebrating my dad's 60th birthday! Seeing old friends and being with family proved to be a wonderful time.

Covenant Football Game

On Saturday we went to the Covenant football game with the kids. They love going to the football games, mainly because they can play with all of their friends. It was a really good game. Unfortunately we lost at the end, but the boys played hard. Of course Madison loved being right in the middle of all the action. She is pictured with Mary Katherine Mountjoy, for those of you who know the Mountjoy's MK is 14 years old! It is hard to believe she is in high school - where does the time go? She is precious and our kids LOVE her!

Halloween Party

On Friday night we went to a Halloween Party. There was a bounce house, carriage ride and yummy food. It was a fun night for our family. Preston won the costume contest, of course he loved that. The kids both had a great time.

Madison's School Halloween Party

Madison's class had a parade around their school for Halloween. All of the kdis dressed in their costumes and went room to room trick or treating. They were all so cute! Madison decided that she wanted to dress up as a Mizzou cheerleader - of course Kent loved that!

Preston's State Project

Preston presented his state project to his class. He worked hard planning out his speech and his project board, and we were so proud of him. It was really fun hearing all of the kids present, they all did a great job.

State Fair of Texas!

Every year our kids can't wait for the State Fair and all the fun that is to be had! I grew up going to the fair as a kid enjoying all of the same highlights year after year. It is so fun to see my kids experience the same joy and excitement. Before we got into the gate Madison fell down and skinned her elbow. So off we were to First Aid to get a Band Aid. This year we had a special treat at the end of the day: my mom took us to see the musical Mary Poppins. It was so much fun for all of us. The kids LOVE to see musicals, and Madison could not stop talking about it.
